I am a recent graduate (May, 1997) of the University of Waterloo. My degree is an Honours Co-op Bachelor of Mathematics from the Faculty of Mathematics with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Combinatorics & Optimization
In Spring, 1998, I sat in on CS 788 - Topics in Computer Graphics at the University of Waterloo.
In Winter 1998, I took CSC 2107 - Language Processors, CSC 2410 - Algorithms in Graph Theory, and CSC 2505 - Geometric Representations for Computer Graphics.
In Fall 1997, I took CSC 2503 - Computational Vision, and CSC 2522 - Advanced Image Synthesis. I also TAed CSC 418/2504 - Computer Graphics.
Here is my resume.
Check out RenderDude!, my research renderer.
I have spent a total of 11 months as a co-op student in the Rendering group at Alias|wavefront, where I worked on the Maya renderer.
In Winter 1996, I took CS 488, "Introduction to Computer Graphics" at UW. My term project was an enhanced ray tracer. Here are some snazzy (at least I thought so at the time) pictures from it.
Also, check out Waterloo's CS 488 Gallery, where snazzy pictures abound!
In Winter 1997, I did some research in UW's Computer Graphics Lab on software abstractions for surface subdivision algorithms for Dr. Richard Bartels and Dr. Steve Mann
On August 21-22, 1999, I rode in the Kokanee 24 Hours of Adrenalin mountain bike race at Hardwood Hills near Barrie. Our 5-man team (5-Pack O' Whupass) did 16 laps in 24 hours, finishing 50th out of 95 teams in our category. Not bad for our first try. Here are some pictures from the event.
A picture of me in grade 3 (~1982). I've been told that the resemblance to Alfred E. Neumann is striking. You be the judge.
