Speedmap - Tour For Kids Day 4

This page lets users plot their gps data on a map, and includes visualizing how fast they were going. The sample data shows my bicycle ride during the last day of the Tour For Kids, a 4-day fully supported ride of southern Ontario (which was amazing, I strongly recommend it to any biking enthusiast!). Just press the Parse button to plot the sample data (or your data!) on the map (It took about 10 seconds on my machine to run)

It isn't finished, but I'm making it available now because it's just too cool. I plan to let users customize the which color is associated with which speed interval. Currently, speeds less than 10 km/h are red, 10-25 km/h is blue, 25-40 km/h is green, and anything above 40 is white.

I've only tested this page with my Garmin GPS Unit, Geko 301; the position format (which is all I look at currently) is H D M.M. The distances are measured in meters and kilometers (see sample data)

Parsing a list of 1400 trackpoints using Internet Explorer took about 40 seconds on my computer; Firefox has a bit of trouble with long tracks, it keeps asking if you want to stop the current script (but there's a setting you can change to tell Firefox to let scripts run longer -- more details to come).

There are several improvements that I'm working on, so keep coming back to check on the progress! (Or, email me to let me know if you have any suggestions)
