Incorporate!

In Ontario

page 1 page 2

As advertised, here they are, made available to you at no charge... Ontario incorporation forms!

You can download the forms in Microsoft Word format which you can then quickly fill up electronically. Sure beats having to fill up those forms by hand! Blank forms in Adobe's pdf format are also available.

To get an information package on how to incorporate in Ontario (if you're not too familiar with all this), you can take a look at Self-Counsel's legal books and software.

After you fill up the forms, you will want to get a NUANS report from a private name search company (look at the links around the page, there should be several). Last time I needed the NUANS report it cost me around 50$ -- I'm not sure if prices have changed much since then.

After you have your NUANS report and your articles of incorporation in hand, you can just walk to the government office near Queen St. & University to finish the process -- that'll cost 360$.

That's it! You're the proud director of a corporation. You can also pay a company a few hundred dollars to do all this for you, but I've had no problem doing the whole thing myself.
